You take over a football club not as a coach picking lineups, but as a chairman picking the coaches who pick them — across hires, fires, contracts, refinancing, scandals, ultras, and the long calendar of a board tenure. The game treats football as a chain of decisions made above the pitch. Negotiations, press conferences, budget meetings and quiet sackings define a season more than any tactical formation.
